Mombacho Volcano Natural Reserve

The Nature Reserve of Nicaragua Mombacho Volcano is located south of the city of Granada and the Islets of Granada. The beauty of its landscapes and the richness of its flora and fauna make this place unique. Its climate is very pleasant. Everything is nature. The site is not only stunning and wonderful if the eastern part of the park is still preserved virgin human exploration. The explosion of the volcano Islets of Granada formed. This volcano is located in the Mombacho Volcano Natural Park and has a height gives 1400 meters above sea level (the fifth Nicaraguan volcano chain).

You can reach the summit on foot or using vehicles suitable for climbing hills. PATH: ´´EL TIGRILLO´´

Trail 2 km long, the degree of difficulty is moderate, certified to pan guide is required. It will take 2 ½ hours.It is a route for those who want a strong but short path leads to viewpoints such as the Islets of Granada, the vast Lake Nicaragua and the highest peak Mombacho. Trail 4 km long, its route is 4 hours. HIGH degree of difficulty. certified guide is required to follow it.

This trail is designed for visitors and groups who want to spend more time in contact with nature in the Reserve and are willing to invest more physical effort, this tour penetrates through the Virgin Forest Cloud Forest, bordering the main crater of the volcano in which center is a fumarole sulphurous gases emanating permanently. Its route is winding with ups and downs between glens; lookouts with spectacular views such as Winds at 1,145 meters, 1,222 meters and La Roca Mirador our new Eagle Vision. Wonderful views for nature lovers and photography.

PATH: ´´EL CRÁTER´´

This trail 1 km distance can be covered in 1 ½ hour is only Guided Auto smaller groups of 20 people, all larger group of 20 people should hire the services of a tour guide.
