THE TISEY, ESTANZUELA NATURE RESERVE

Esteli, Nicaragua

The Tisey-La Estanzuela Nature Reserve is 3 km from the provincial capital city of Esteli department. It is located in the North Central Region of Nicaragua, it occupied territories of the town of Esteli, San Nicolas de Oriente, South El Sauce in Esteli River basin. Reserve this on volcanic rocks of the Pliocene, Miocene, Tertiary, forming high ground having plateaus. The height of the reserve is 1550 meters above sea level, dominating the steep terrain. It is the area of the birth of Estelí River. The climate is classified as the country with warmer average temperatures of 24 ° C and rainfall of 800-1600 mm.

How to get?

The Jalacate is located within the Natural Reserve El Tisey, 15 kms. south of the city of Esteli. If you go by car from Managua, take the Panamerican Highway towards San Nicolas, you continue for 9 kms. more, turn right at the Rancho de Don Luis, 3.5 kms. to the junction of Grenache and 2 kms. The forward is Jalacate.
